Sunshine here I am!

I tried out the patterns for Pirates Sunshine Dress this weekend! The kids were at grandma and grandpa's for night and the husband was playing video games online with his brothers, so it was a perfect time to sew!

I had 1 meter of this fabric - ONE meter!!! and I got the whole dress out of it!!! I scooped the back neckline just a weeee bit more than it is in the pattern because I like showing a bit more skin. I also did the skirt just a little shorter to be able to get this out of a meter.

I love how sunshiney these bokeh hearts look - perfect for a sunshine dress! This is a mid weight cotton lycra - I just love how it sews and holds it's shape nicely.

I managed to get this cut and sewn in about 2 to 2.5hrs. I truly looove the wrap front top and the big pockets! This dress is so ideal for summer fun! and can be easily dressed up or down with the right accessories.

The fabric can be found here at True North Fabrics (currently it is a preorder until July 14th)
The dress can be found here at Patterns for Pirates website
